Abstract
Fibrinogen plays a pivotal role in the coagulation cascade. Inherited fibrinogen disorders are a heterogenous group that includes lack or reduced fibrinogen levels or a qualitative disorder of fibrinogen, dysfibrinogenemia. In fibrinogen disorders the clinical presentation is varied. Inherited dysfibrinogenemia is associated with a higher frequency of bleeding as well as thrombosis. We present a young girl with congenital hypo-dysfibrogenemia who suffered a significant intracerebral bleed. Herein we included a brief discussion on the diagnosis of fibrin disorders.
